    Pierre-Laurent Cassière (*1982) is a french artist whose work focuses primarily on sculpture, sound installation and expanded cinema.

    Since 2006, his work has been exhibited in art institutions such as LACE, Los Angeles (US), SMAK, Gent (BE), TENT, Rotterdam (NL), Thurn & Taxis Palace, Bregenz, (AT), Palais de Tokyo and Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris (FR), Paco das Artes, São Paulo (BR), Württembergischer Kunstverein, Stuttgart (DE), Glaskasten Sculpture Museum, Marl (DE), OCT Art & Design Gallery, Shanghai and Shenzhen (CN) etc. He has also taken part to different international film, media art or sound art festivals like WRO Biennale, Wroclaw (PL), Darklight Film Festival, Dublin, (IRL), Exit, Paris and Ososphère, Strasbourg (FR), Tuned City, Tallinn (EST), Sound City Days, Kosice (SVK) or the International Film Festival of Rotterdam (NL).

    After studies in the Villa Arson, national art school, Nice, France, and time spent in the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, Reykjavik, he graduated in 2005 with a Master in fine Arts. In 2006, he was guest student in the Academy of Media Arts (KHM) in Cologne, Germany and graduated the same year from a Ma2 Research in contemporary art theory between Liege and Brussels Universities with a dissertation on acoustic effects in sound art practices.
